ScenePilot turns a script or voiceover into a finished documentary video. This page explains what we collect when you use the ScenePilot website, the desktop app or the cloud studio, why, and the choices you have. Questions: hello@scenepilot.tech.

What we collect

Account details. Your email address and, if you sign in with Google, your name, email and profile picture from your Google account. We never see your Google password.
Your projects. The scripts, voiceovers, images and footage you upload or write, and the videos ScenePilot makes from them.
Usage and billing. How many films you've made, credits used, and your plan. Payments are handled by our payment provider; we never store your card number.
Waitlist. If you join the waitlist: your email address, the date you joined and your place in line.
Support messages you send us, and basic technical logs (errors, app version) needed to fix problems.

How we use it

To sign you in and keep your account secure, including emailing you sign-in and password-reset codes.
To make your videos: your script is analysed to plan scenes, find footage and design graphics.
To run billing and credits, answer support requests, and send important service emails.
To send launch news to waitlist members. You can unsubscribe at any time.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your scripts or videos to train AI models.

Google user data

When you choose "Continue with Google", ScenePilot receives only your basic profile (name, email address, profile picture) to create and sign in to your account. We don't request access to your Gmail, Drive, YouTube or any other Google data. ScenePilot's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Who processes data for us

We use a small number of service providers, only for the purposes above:

Supabase for accounts and sign-in.
Resend to send emails from scenepilot.tech.
Amazon Web Services to render and store cloud projects.
AI model providers (such as Google Gemini and OpenRouter) to analyse script text when planning a video. They receive the text needed for that step, not your account details.
Stock footage and image libraries are searched using keywords from your script.
Google Sheets and Gmail for the waitlist, and Cloudflare to serve this website.
Our payment provider for purchases.

Desktop app

With the desktop app, your projects and videos are made and stored on your own computer. Your sign-in session is saved there in encrypted form so you stay signed in.

How long we keep it

Temporary render files on our servers are deleted within 48 hours after your video is finished.
Finished cloud videos and their editable projects are kept for 30 days unless your plan includes longer storage. We show the expiry date and email you before anything is deleted. Videos you download are yours to keep.
Account details are kept while your account is open and deleted within 30 days after you close it, except records we must keep for tax or legal reasons.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to show, correct, export or delete your data, or close your account, by emailing hello@scenepilot.tech. You can also remove ScenePilot's access to your Google account at any time from your Google Account permissions page.

Security

Data is sent over encrypted connections, access is limited to the ScenePilot team, and secret keys are kept on our servers, never in the app.

Children

ScenePilot is not meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we'll update the date above and tell account holders by email.
